The Zine Machine 2023 is now open for registration!

Here are the details:

The event will take place on Sunday October 15th, 2023 from 11am – 5pm at the Fruit arts venue in Durham. https://www.facebook.com/305sdillardst/

This is a printed matter festival so your table can display anything that is printed but we love zines and comics so try to bring as much of that as possible.

Fee: $30 per table spot. If you want two table spots the fee is $60.

Each participant will need to bring their own table and chairs. Tables should not exceed 8 feet.

Registration which includes fee payment will stay open until September 15. We are limiting the number of tablers to 75. If we reach that number before September 15 we will close registration at that time.

Very important! This is a printed matter festival for DIYers, small presses and other kinds of makers. We do not allow large publishers or corporate types – sorry it’s just not our thing. Also, we do not allow content makers who create nasty, offensive, sexist, racist, just plain horrible stuff. We understand that some material is geared towards an adult audience and that’s fine.

ZINE MACHINE #6, Sunday October 16^th, 2022. 11am – 5pm

Printed Matter Festival that highlights regional DIY artists that make zines, comics, prints, ephemera, books and other similar DIY objects.

Venue: Durham, North Carolina Armory.

The Zine Machine Printed Matter Festival is now open for registration. Participants must be DIY artists whose work consists primarily of printed matter OR small DIY publishers/dealers that specialize in zines, comics, prints, ephemera and books. We do not censor content but please know that the event is free to the public and attended by families with children.

We do not allow participants that make work that is aggressively offensive, attacking or over the top in your face. Political organizations and large enterprises are also not able to apply.

The deadline for applying is August 25^th, 2022. Tables fill quickly so apply sooner than later.

We’re sad to announce that Zine Machine #6 is postponed for another year. Despite our high hopes and crossed fingers, it looks like the Covid Monster isn’t done with us yet.

We’ve got the Durham Armory reserved for October 16, 2022. Here’s hoping the world will be feeling better by then and Zine Machine can celebrate its triumphant return!
